This case is an illustration of agricultural interventions made possible using advanced technology based on data sets gathered through diverse channels. Moreover, it also shows that smart farming technology can be used in open field farms, orchards and vineyards as well, to create an optimal growing environment for fruit trees through automation of the watering process or remote control of the rain shelters and pest control facilities. However, it is equally important for the operators or farmers to possess the digital literacy and data skills required to control the system
