Government initiative - subsidized by DEPA

Main issues, needs, or priorities faced (or expressed) by villagers in accessing, and/or using digital solutions, services, or innovations (examples: reliability/strength/slow internet connection; access through local language; lack of adatpation to needs; urgently needed services not available, accessible, affordable, etc....)

According to the information of this village, the infrastructure of the village is in the good condition, but the Intrnet infrastructure in the sea needs to improve for mobile phone and internet access of the GPS tracking device. Some digital services and applications already in use, at pilot testing stage with only a small number (or digital champions) are involved.

Other relevant information, data, statistics, links, application history etc.

The digital service is the traceability system with GPS tracking for marine resource conservation. Technology developer is the Gulf of Thailand Coastal Fisheries Association. Technology development is in the testing stage - getting started (few users) and is partially subsidized by DEPA. It is a stand-alone platform and can access through a group membership. It can be accessed from a mobile application. The technology requires short, intensive training in software, applications and hardware.
