Farmdar
Pakistan
Farmdar is a startup launched in 2021 which has raised USD 1.3 million in 2022. Farmdar uses deep-tech with high- res, multi-band satellite imagery to create actionable data for farmers and corporates. This data has a direct result on the efficiency and profitability of farmers and corporates. Farmdar offers precision agriculture tools related to insights on crop classification, harvest monitoring, yield estimation, sowing classification, field digitization, climate monitoring, variety detection, NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium) variable application reporting, water stress reporting, plant health, and stress reporting across 3 services called Crop Scan, AgromAI and IQ Dashboard. Another feature called Variety Scan allows Farmdar to detect which variety of sugarcane is grown. This allows their corporate clients to identify and source their preferred variety from farmers and also conduct outreach to farmers not growing these varieties and provide them information on how they can switch their variety. Farmdar issues several thematic reports such as Plant Health Report (tells areas of good and poor plant health); Plant Stress Report (Identify which tree and crops are under stress), Water Level Report (tells areas of high, medium, low water stress), and Fertilizer Report (Identify areas of high, medium and low fertilizer requirement). The company has also expanded its operations to Brazil, Morocco and Peru.
