Seouchae Farm produces high-quality vegetables, leveraging data on crop growth and the environment collected through smart farming systems integrating agriculture with technology. It grows more than 20 types of vegetables and fruits on its farms and supplies its products to leading hotels and restaurants in the country. It is an integrated digital technology with aquaponics farming, a unique form of plant cultivation using natural recirculation. It acquired pesticide-free, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and organic certifications, through sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices in which pesticides, chemicals or growth simulators are not used. It also facilitates communication between Greenlabs and member farms, through the interactive knowledge-sharing platform “Farming Knowledge iN” that allows members to ask questions or address issues. It is operating various aquaponics farming education and training programs, ranging from introductory courses to one-month practical experience programs―for extension institutes, universities, returning farmers and businesses. It promotes the benefits of smart farming technology, aquaponics and the rural life, through diverse video contents on the company’s YouTube channel “Aquaponics Farm-Seouchae”. The solution has following major funnctions 1) Establish greenhouse environment monitoring system, with smart sensors that detect and transmit various data regarding outside temperature/humidity, solar radiation, wind direction/speed, and precipitation and 2) Automatically control various greenhouse equipment and devices (roof/side vents, fans, nutrient controllers, boilers, mist systems, etc.) based on data inputs concerning external conditions
