Wegro is aggregation of person to person (P2P) financing model. It sources fund from individual and institutions like Bank and Non bank Financial Institute (NBFI), assess credit worthiness of farmer, provide goods/input to farmers. They buy back crops. Farmer are not worried about market or price. Wegro get commission of the profit earned from the investment at a predetermined rate. WeGro is an agri fintech, with a motto: Investing in Agriculture, simplified. WeGro provides a mobile app platform (both Android and iOS) where users can facilitate finance for agricultural projects, such as cattle, poultry, fisheries, vegetables, etc. WeGro provides investment and guidance to smallholder farmers who are otherwise unable to access formal (almost 10 Million) financing elsewhere. Additionally, farmers can also avail access to agricultural input and access to markets. All of the projects are insured, monitored, scrutinized and available for the financiers to visit.

Till November 2023 Wegro financed Tk 472 million out of that Tk 362 million has been reimbursed. Farmers are getting benefit of access to finance, quality input and market. With projects in remote areas in Bangladesh, WeGro is working with over 4,200 farmers across 10 zones in the country. The financiers receive a share of the profit and the ROI ranges from 16-24% annually.
