The Rynan Insect Monitoring Systems uses edge computing technology including AI to monitor the spread of insects in the fields and provide targeted advise on interventions that reduces the amount of pesticides used. By digitalizing farm models and provide better pest monitoring system to farmers, improve productivity, reduce pesticide use and improve the environment. THe Rynan IMS attracts insects by using LED lights and pheromones. THe Rynan IMS with AI system uses a wholistic approach that analyzes data such as weather forecast prediction, pest migration patterns and outbreak prediction. The Rynan IMS is expanding in Viet Nam and since 2022 Rynan IMS has been deployed in over 57 locations and today over 100 systems are deployed all over Viet Nam. Rynan is working closely with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to support crop inset management planning. Rynan IMS is also applied in Japan.
