Launched in 2012, developed by a Vietnamese agri-tech, Tepbac, Farmext is a comprehensive aquaculture farm management application. Farmext is a unified platform, that covers areas from farming management to seafood exchange market. The application tackle three main problems including (1) improved farm management with automatic production cost calculations; (2) Building a community of practice aimed to reduce disease risks through shared data& timely warnings; and (3) Seafood market exchange that tabilize production output and ensures traceability. The app also provide IOT-based ecosystem support services such as: (i) Water quality monitoring device to automatically update diaries with realtime measurement data; (ii) Automated feeding device that can update feed type and quantity; and (iii) Control cabinet connected to electrical devices of a pond to update pond activities
