Jabar Digital Service (JDS), or the Center for Digital Services, Data and Geospatial Information for West Java Province, is an initiative that applies ICT data and technology to provide community services and facilitate responsive, adaptive and innovative policy making. The Digital Village Program exists as an effort to narrow the digital gap in West Java. The JDS supports the development of digital villages including digital infrastructure, conducting digital literacy training, arousing business competitiveness through digital marketplace training, to optimizing internet utilization through Internet of Things (IoT) technology and e-commerce to increase community productivity. Specifically the initiative offers five (5) main services and solutions: Sapawarga (Applications for accessing public services, finding actual information), Ekosistem Jabar Data (An integrated portal for management, openness, and ease of access to quality & up-to-date data for West Java citizens and government), Desa Digital (program supporting rural communities through digitization, community capacity building, and maximizing village potential), Pusat Informasi & Koordinasi Covid-19 Jawa Barat (West Java Covid-19 Information & Coordination Center as a communication medium & one-stop Covid-19 handling service in West Java, and Jabar Command Center (data visualization & integration center equipped with a variety of supporting infrastructure to improve coordination, monitoring and policy making in West Java).
