Sustainable fodder Decision Support System (DSS) - Dashboard
Mongolia
This dashboard has been designed to facilitate decision making by Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry (MoFALI) staff to promote sustainable fodder management in Mongolia. The DSS database combines data from the following range of sources to create information products that highlight key information regarding the current and historical status of pasture, livestock, fodder and other factors. The dashboard contains several data sources: 1. Earth observation satellite imagery and EO derived products, served by the SIBELIUs project’s Data Cube WMS/WCS; 2. Further Earth observation derived rangeland pasture products, generated in the DSS and served by the DSS database; 3. Livestock and fodder crop data from the National Statistical Office (NSO) databases; 4. Geotagged livestock data; 5. Other economic and environmental data. The Sustainable Fodder Decision Support System and its contents have been developed by eOsphere with the support of the Asian Development Bank and the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction.
