Digital soil-health cards

The digital soil health card program is an initiative within the Soil Health Management (SHM) one of the most important interventions under National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA). The soil health card program focuses on mapping soil composition at the individual farmer level, is a significant opportunity for agtech companies in India. This initiative supports precision farming by providing detailed insights into soil quality, allowing agtech firms to tailor solutions for specific farmer groups. A web-based portal and mobile application have been developed for six states (Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Assam and West Bengal) to geo-register soil samples as well as to retrieve crop-specific recommendations based on soil health data at any time and from any location.
